In this article I’m going to offer a few random and hopefully useful thoughts about the power of using your content for list building.

• To be successful on the internet you need to have a well qualified and highly responsive list. Many would be internet marketers ignore this basic principle and fail at the game.
• Building your list with content marketing does not cost you anything other than time and energy. No pay per click, no fees, etc.
• The process is simple; create great quality content that helps people with links back to your website or blog, where the reader can enter their name and email address in exchange for another slice of your expertise. You have now added another person to your list.
• The most prized new member of your list is a highly qualified, highly responsive person. This is exactly what you get with conent marketing.
• While I do use other resources to build my lists, content marketing is the primary and most powerful tool I use for building my lists.
• If I had to choose between a very large unresponsive list and a very responsive smaller list, I’d take the smaller very responsive list every time.
• Of course, the very best solution is to build a very large and a very responsive list. You can do both content marketing.
